Warm temps and wind overnight melting a lot of snow. Still good coverage on Skaters Waltz and North Loup for a morning ski but the trails are now closed until cooler weather and new snow.

Great skate skiing conditions. February 24th, 2017.Good section on Twin Lakes ski trail, morning February 24th, 2017. Hard base, sticky surface. If skiing Twin Lakes or the western trails, expect more variable conditions including icy and thin areas. With caution, skiable.
Start of Sap Run Thursday morning, February 23rd, 2017. Fast tracks since skied on while snow was wet but velcro like surface for edging. Sap Run with thin cover on ridges, better coverage on second half. Use caution! Other trails not skied on won’t be as icylike. Bottomline, skiable and some good skiing to be had with caution and positive attitude!Skaters Waltz Thursday morning, February 23rd, 2017. Skaters and other skate trails will be groomed today. Conditions will be fast but good structure for edging and some of the best skiing of the year! Use caution on the Kamikaze hill section. Icy spots. Rest of look excellent coverage.Snow falling Wednesday afternoon, February 21st, 2017. Very wet and sticky on top of wet base. After it cools down and freezes, we can groom select trails. Just this little bit should improve conditions.
