Ski Trail Report

Trails are now closed for the season.

Incredible weekend, Monday and Tuesday of skiing. Great seeing everyone that came out to enjoy. This is one of the best months of April skiing we have every experienced.

It will be at least 3 weeks before all the snow melts off and frost goes out before we can open the trails back up for hiking and mountain biking.

With the grooming in April, this is the 6th consecutive calendar month we have groomed this season. First grooming was back on November 13th, 2021.

Season total of snowfall at 119″ after Sunday’s 3″ snowfall and breaks the previous record of 118″ of total snowfall in a season. Considering the dry summer and fall, the precipitation will bring the water tables back up to normal when the snow all melts and the frost goes out.

Ski Trail Report

Trails open! Great seeing folks out this weekend. Fresh snow on top of grooming Friday and Sunny Saturday! Sunday will have some icy spots to start before snow moving in this afternoon. We have been grooming on a late season 4km loop for skating/freestyle skiing after 3-4″ of new snow the end of the week.

We will have this loop open for skiing on through Easter weekend and most likely until Wednesday morning. Freestyle skiing, no tracks set. There will be no charge to ski. Lodge is closed but use parking lot near lodge. Start behind freight house, look for snowmobile and follow grooming. Ski at own risk, assume all responsibility and enjoy the late season conditions! Other trails have thin spots, rough spots, branches down etc. and not recommended to ski off the groomed loop.

With the grooming in April, this is the 6th consecutive calendar month we have groomed this season. First grooming was back on November 13th, 2021.

Season total of snowfall is at 116″ and close to the record snowfall in a season at Maplelag. Considering the dry summer and fall, the precipitation will bring the water tables back up to normal when the snow all melts and the frost goes out.

Ski Trail Report

3″ new snow the past 24 hours. We have been grooming on a 4km “late season loop” and conditions are very good for this time of year. Skiing today was more like mid January with the cold temps and snow falling. Nice to see folks out to enjoy!

Ski Trail Report

A wet 24 hours with around 3/4ths of an inch of rain. Still hanging on to snow/ice base on the trails and the 4km loop we groomed last week is mostly covered providing some late season skiing. We are keeping an eye on the forecast and the potential of snow tonight and tomorrow. If an inch or two, we will groom on the same 4km loop as temps look to remain cool making it meaningful to groom. Skiing Easter weekend? Stay tuned!

Ski Trail Report

Wet weather has pushed through and skies cleared this afternoon. The loop we groomed last week was still fully covered when out for a early afternoon ski. A few areas thinner that face the sun but very skiable. Later afternoon we groomed the loop, refreshing the structure hopefully for another spring ski in the morning before the next round of precipitation moves in.
