Trails are now closed for skiing and biking. Warm days has melted all but a few short segments of the remaining base on the trails. The warm weather has been good for pulling frost out of the ground. Once the frost is out we can open the trails again for hiking and biking. The mornings it has froze down this past week allowed us to get on trail and cut firewood for next season!
It was a great last five days of the season and awesome to see so many people out. Thanks to everyone that supports the trails at Maplelag….we appreciate it very much!! The trails will open again once the frost is out. Typically mid to late April.
59″ of snow so far this season. We began grooming on November 17th and groomed daily on the entire trail system, only missing a few days on the last grooming March 19th.
Thank you to everyone that comes to Maplelag and supports the trails with season pass purchases and day passes . A MN State trail pass is NOT required to ski at Maplelag. The Maplelag trails are self funded by operations with no grants or state funding.

Trails are now closed for skiing and fat biking. Although there are skiable segments, back to back days near 50 degrees has taken its toll on the trails and we are closing out of caution. Hard to believe how fast conditions changed but it is the third week of March and anything can happen!
