Trail Report

A beautiful day with clear skies, almost no wind, and mild temps. We continue to enjoy some of the best ice conditions on the lake ever. It has been incredible really. Chance of snow on Thanksgiving so the days might be numbered. No complaints on the snow!!! Ski trails hanging on to a bit of snow with about 70% of the trails covered with a dusting. Looks like a few clippers set to roll through the next 5-7 days and hopefully a few inches of white will be covering the trails. Photos from Wednesday. Have a Great Thanksgiving day!!

Trail Report

Colder weather moving back in with a cold front slicing through Monday afternoon. Snow flurries most of the day with little accumulation. Still a dusting of snow on the trails. Ground has frozen down hard and trails are in good shape. Little Sugarbush has great ice and we have been ice skating on the 4-5″ of fantastic ice while it is free of snow. We also have started flooding the ice skating rink and hope to be skating on it this weekend.

Photos from skating on the lake yesterday.

Trail Report

Stretch of very cold weather continues on through the weekend. Recent early morning lows in the single digits including a reading of 0 on Friday morning! The lakes are building up some thick ice and enough snow on the edge of Little Sugarbush for a bit of skiing!! Beautiful morning on Friday and conditions right for thousands of frost flowers. Dusting of snow on the ski trails and ready for more!! Photos below taken Friday, November 21st.

Trail Report

Wow, winter blast greeting us at Maplelag this morning. Temps in the lower teens and with a stiff wind from the north, feels subzeroish. A few blasts of flurry snow off and on with no or little accumulation expected. Cold temps really setting up the ground and making good ice on Little Sugarbush which froze over on Monday night. Looks relatively quiet storm wise but things on tap for changes later this month. We will start flooding the ice skating rink once the wind settles down.

Trail Report

Cold and clear on Tuesday. Temp dropping down to the mid teens. Cold weather setting of the ground and making good ice on the smaller ponds, lakes and sloughs.  Looks like even cooler weather to move in middle of the week with a chance of light snow. No big system snow on the current forecast but things can change quickly and with frozen ground, it won’t take much snow to have skiing.
