Ski Trail Report

Trails are open. Hardpack/icy conditions but skiable on the trails we have been grooming. Best skiing has been on the inner trail segments of Skaters Watlz and Sukkerbusk and the first and last third of North Loup. Friday looks to be a bit warmer, recommended skiing from sunrise to 11am. Looking at the forecast we will most likely close the trails Sunday afternoon.

We are grooming 9km of trail to improve the conditions on a condensed loop of Skaters Waltz, Eira Bikwadinaa Hill, Single Green Climb, Kristin’s Kutoff and all of North Loup. Today we groomed the above trails again in the afternoon. We coned off the intersections to avoid sections not to ski on. Use extra caution for areas of thin coverage, glare icy spots etc. but the groomed loop is very skiable on frozen spring like conditions.

Use the soccer field connector to access Skaters Waltz and continue on Skaters to the right and take a left on Sap Run to use as a connector for the best skiing. The far end of North Loup is very icy, the first third and last third is skiable, recommended to go out and back on these segments for best skiing.

We are most likely done classic grooming for the year unless new snow. We will continue grooming this condensed loop of Skaters Waltz and North Loup for freestyle skiing as long as we can.

Fat Bike Trail Report

Fat Bike Trails are open but not recommended to ride.  Very icy conditions. InnerWest loop and skate ski trails open for riding. Plan very icy conditions after freezing down from very warm day on Monday. Studded tires recommended. Base is rock solid after freezing down from last weeks warm weather. There will be icy spots and use extreme caution in the parking lot and start area and on south facing segments Twin Lakes.

To access the InnerWest loop, take Skaters Waltz and follow the skate trail until signs indicated where to turn. To just ride Twin Lakes and SukkerWest, access from the driveway. We will also have the skate trails open on Skaters Waltz extension and North Loup.
