Fat Bike Trail Report

Fat Bike Trails are open until noon today InnerWest loop and skate ski trails open for riding. Base is rock solid after freezing down from last weeks warm weather. There will be icy spots and use extreme caution in the parking lot and start area and on south facing segments Twin Lakes.

To access the InnerWest loop, take Skaters Waltz and follow the skate trail until signs indicated where to turn. To just ride Twin Lakes and SukkerWest, access from the driveway. We will also have the skate trails open on Skaters Waltz extension and North Loup.

Bullhead Bootleg has filled up with snow from wind and recent storms (over a foot of new snow since last grooming) and might be a while until we can have this trail in riding condition. Even without bootleg there is 20km of trail available to ride.

Ski Trail Report

Trails are open. A really nice morning and early afternoon of spring skiing. Hard to believe with the warm temps but the base has been holding on. Today it did get quiet, warm with high temperature of 55. The base is seasoned and holding on. Already freezing down by 8pm. There is a slight chance of snow tomorrow. We will plan to groom at some point. Right now we just plan to skate/freestyle groom on a condensed loop of Skaters Waltz and all of North Loup. Use extra caution for areas of thin coverage, icy spots etc. We are most likely done classic grooming for the year unless new snow. We will continue grooming Skaters Waltz and North Loup for skating as long as we can. Skaters Waltz groomed Sunday evening.

No new snowfall past 24 hours. 39″ of snowfall this season, compacted base on trail 0-5″. Snow depth in woods 0-8″

Ski Trail Report

Trails are open. A textbook day of spring like skiing and really nice skiing all things considered with a beautiful Sunday. High temperature around 40. Late afternoon groomed on Skaters Waltz. A few more icy areas but should be nice skiing overall mid morning on Monday. We are most likely done classic grooming for the year unless new snow. We will continue grooming Skaters Waltz and North Loup for skating as long as we can. Still very skiable for classic on recommended trails of Sukkerbusk and North Loup. Looks to be warmer on Monday but cooling down a bit for rest of the week with chance of snow

A beautiful sunshine day Saturday with winter like temperates. A good group of skiers out enjoying the first day of March and reports were good considering the recent weather.
