Champlain Park “Rebels” out on Sukkerbusk Tuesday morning en route to Roy’s Run, February 19th, 2013.
Even though the high school ski season is complete, a handful of the Rebels were skiing hard all day Tuesday. The conditions were “life threatening” and “hazardous” but plenty of great skiing to be had in cooler weather if dressed properly and ski smart.
North Star Ski Club member Al Porter heading out on the snowshoe trail with John Christensen. Al is under doctor orders not to ski but keeping Al off the trails isn’t easy. His family built a custom ski walker so Al could keep on kicking and gliding, at 88 years young, to enjoy the beauty of the outdoor and winter!
