The Norwegian Log cabin has undergone another full remodel using the existing structure (no addition) preserving the historical characteristics and adding a full kitchen while still maintaining two bedrooms and the living area in the original log cabin part. A cozy cabin located right at the main trail head with a view towards Little Sugarbush lake.
One of the original structures at Maplelag, it was moved on to the property in the mid 1970’s. It is one of the oldest buildings in Becker county having been built by Norwegian immigrants dating back to the 1880’s.
In the early years of Maplelag it was a simple log cabin with bunk beds, a barrel wood stove and electricity for lighting. There was no bath or cooking facilities. In 1997 the cabin underwent a remodel with an addition, a full bathroom added and the original log cabin part converted to a living area.
