Bike trails are now closed. Temperatures look to cool again over the weekend with continued freezing nights. If it continues to trend cold as forecasted, we will open the trails for frozen dirt riding on Sunday morning and the mornings the week after.

Even with the warm spring like temperatures, there is still frost in the ground. The trails will open for the dirt season once the frost is completely out of the ground. A good indicator is when the ice is off the lakes. With freezing nights still occurring, it is a slow process to completely dry out the trails. Typically mid April the trails will be open for riding. Riding when the trails are soft this time of year can do the most damage to the trails. Even though we had low snow this year, the lack of snow did allow frost set down this season.
