Morning temp checking in at -15. Definitely the coldest morning of the year so far. The big storm that hit the Midwest stayed south and east of us. We have coverage on the trails of 2-3″ of dry light snow. The temps are nice and cold with single digits for highs and below 0 for lows which should set up good ice and freeze the ground down nicely. We need around 4″ of hearty snow before we can officially open the trails. We have been skiing on a 3km loop that has been groomed but the base is very thin with bare spots and need more snow before we officially open the trails.
