Ski Trail Report

3″ new snow the past 24 hours. We have been grooming on a 4km “late season loop” and conditions are very good for this time of year. Skiing today was more like mid January with the cold temps and snow falling. Nice to see folks out to enjoy!

We will have this loop open for skiing on through Easter weekend. Freestyle skiing, no tracks set. There will be no charge to ski. Lodge is closed but use parking lot near lodge. Start behind freight house, look for snowmobile and follow grooming. Ski at own risk, assume all responsibility and enjoy the late season conditions! Other trails have thin spots, rough spots, branches down etc. and not recommended to ski off the groomed loop.

With the grooming in April, this is the 6th consecutive calendar month we have groomed this season. First grooming was back on November 13th, 2021.

Season total of snowfall is at 116″ and close to the record snowfall in a season at Maplelag. Considering the dry summer and fall, the precipitation will bring the water tables back up to normal when the snow all melts and the frost goes out.
