Trail Report

Cooler weather in place and definitely feels more like Fall! Forecasted rain earlier this morning did not happen. Slight chance of light rain later today. No frost the past few mornings, low temps in the 40’s. Popcorn showers on Wednesday resulting in less than a quarter of inch. Leaves are slower to change this year compared to other years and seems like we are 5-7 days behind. However, there is definitely color popping up here and there and things should move fast the next 5-10 days.

It has been busy summer and start to fall on the ski and mountain bike trails mowing/brushing and constantly clearing deadfall and cutting/splitting firewood. We will continue working on the trails up until the snow flies! A few storms and wind events this summer bringing down the usual amount of trees, no structural damage to any buildings. Overall, the summer has been slightly above precipitation with average temperatures at Maplelag making for great conditions for trail work.
