Beautiful fall weather for the weekend with fantastic fall color scenes in the woods right now. We hit our peak of fall color around the lodge on October 3rd but still great Autumn scenes in place.
We have started the process of clearing the leaves off the trail. We try to clear the key trails completely free of leaves before the snow and frost sets in. Having the trails cleared allows us to open for skiing on minimal snow.
It has been busy summer and start to fall on the ski and mountain bike trails mowing/brushing and constantly clearing deadfall and cutting/splitting firewood. We will continue working on the trails up until the snow flies. Overall, the summer has been slightly above precipitation with average temperatures at Maplelag making for great conditions for trail work.
