Trails are open for skiing on 20km of groomed trail.
Another beautiful day of late season/spring skiing. Good seeing everyone out. Warmest temperatures since November rolled in with some strong winds softening the deck late afternoon. We did get out for a groom early evening on all the trails currently being groomed. It was a bit trickier grooming with the soft snow. The tracks set relatively good, skate deck was a bit more rough. Still should be some nice late season skiing tomorrow. The temps won’t drop down as much tonight but the snow has transitioned to corn snow which will provide more consistent glide longer into the day.
Trails being groomed for classic skiing include Sap Run, Sukkebusk, and North Loup. Skaters Waltz including the big hill down to Bullhead Lake and back and a skate lane on North Loup groomed for skating.
We will no longer be fat bike grooming this season. We had some great riding conditions over the weekend, Monday and Tuesday before the deep snow covered the trail. Full report here:
9″ new snow past 5 days. Total snowfall this season at 90″. Compacted base on trail 7-18″.
