Happy First day of Fall! Today are having afall color day Trails will be open all day and store open and Wood Fire Pizza 12-5.
Has been a warm week but cool nights highlighted by brilliant fall colors. We hit our peak on the 20th but still have most trees displaying. . We are fortunate to have a long season of color with maples first hitting their peak, followed by the oak, poplar/aspen and tamarack trees. Other species in the mix to create a nice landscape.
We continue to work on the trails clearing deadfall and mowing in the lower areas that still have grass growing good. We have started the first stages of leaf clearing on the trails and will continue right up until the ground freezes and first snow accumulates! We try to have as many trails completely cleared and cut low so we can groom and ski on minimal snow.
The mountain bike trails are open for riding. Click here for latest update. Maplelag trails are closed to all motorized use and closed to horse traffic. We continue with trail tuning as we constantly work on the 64km of ski trails for upcoming ski season and maintain 25 miles of mountain bike trail.
