Beautiful frosty morning to kick off the day with much welcomed sunshine and fresh snow! Trails are open to skiing again after a couple inches of dense snow Friday evening/Saturday morning. We groomed most of the inner trails starting Friday evening and most of Saturday. Saturday evening Sukkerbusk and Skaters Waltz were groomed again. Early morning lows near 0 setting the grooming up firm. Today we will be packing on the western trails, flattening the base and preparing the deck for the next snowfalls.
Early season conditions, watch for rough spots, areas of thin cover and unmarked obstacles but skiable on select trails. Recommended skiing on Sukkerbusk for no track classic skiing and Skaters Waltz for skating. To bypass the long hills on Skaters Waltz which have a rough spot on the long hill to Bullhead bay, use the end of Sap Run as a connector to make a loop of Skaters Waltz. The other trails groomed need a bit more snow before open to skiing but is good to pack the existing snow before it begins to dry out and settle.
