Ski Trail Report

A beautiful morning of skiing before getting warm with a little bit of melting and softening in the afternoon. Great seeing everyone out this weekend enjoying the conditions we have. Sunshine and frost made for beautiful skiing despite the thin base.

We will have the trails open in the morning for those that have inquired. Expect icy conditions before it softens. We ask people to ski in the morning to help preserve the base of snow we have during this upcoming warm period. We will be working on Skaters Waltz and Sap Run every day this week for weekend skiing and the section races next week. We ask people stay off these trails to preserve our snow farming efforts. Thank you!

Tracks are set on Sap Run, JibFly, Sukkerbusk, Mother Hen, Poki Loki, Loon Return, Rootin Tootin, Wavy Gravy, Mother North Star, Twin Lakes and North Loup. Please do not skate on trails packed for classic. Skating on Skaters Waltz and the extension loops and North Loup only.

Top choices for classic skiing are Sap Run, Mother North Star, Rootin Tootin and North Loup.

Thin base watch for rough spots, areas of thin cover and unmarked obstacles but very skiable and reports from the skiers have been good.

The Brant cabin is open as a warming house. The main lounge area has a Kuerig for hot chocolate/coffe/tea and there are simple snacks available to purchase on honor system.  Store will be open this weekend.

Fat bike trails are open and groomed. Latest fat bike trail report.

Please no walking on the ski or fat bike trails. Snowshoe trails are open but snowshoeing possible anywhere except the ski trails.

Trail passes can be purchased on the products page.

Maplelag current conditions including data from the new Maplelag weather station can be found on the Weather page. Total snowfall since November 1st at 12″. Current snow depth is 2-5″ and compacted base on trails is 1-3″.
