Trails are open. A great weekend to ski!! Off and on snow squalls the past few days has improved the conditions as we have groomed on the entire trail system this week breaking up the crusty snow and working in the new snow and resetting tracks on all the classic trails. Many tracks that were set earlier in the week have the dusting of snow on top that has been skied in and slower skier compared to the tracks today that will ski a bit faster with frozen transformed snow as the base..
A big day of grooming Thursday and Friday with over 50km of trail groomed. All the skate trails were groomed again Friday and tracks reset on Roy’s Run, Wavy Gravy, Rootin Tootin and Bullhead/Bootleg policy. Thursday tracks reset on Twin Lakes, Rootin Tootin, JibFly easy loop and Mother North Star to Sukkerbusk. We have been grooming the skate trails daily the past two weeks.
Classic only skiing on trails with machine set tracks: Sukkerbusk, Sap Run, JibFly, Mother Hen, Rootin Tootin, Mother North Star and Loon Return. Roys Run, Twin Lakes, Wavy Gravy and the first and last part of Island Lake trail now tracked as well. North Loup has a track on the side and a skate path.
Skating on Skater Waltz, the extension of Skater Waltz, Single Green climb, Kristin’s Kutoff, Eira Bikwadinaa hill and North Loup. Also possible to skate ski the last part of Bullhead lake trail as out out and back. Please do not skate on trails outside of thedesignated skate trails. Thank you!
