Trails are open. Currently in a warm spell but trails are holding out fine. We are still skiing and grooming and will continue grooming as long as we can on select trails. Bit more vulnerability in the open areas and the lake portion of Bullhead Lake should be avoided due to standing water. Otherwise, use a little extra caution and trails are very skiable. We’ve transitioned to spring like skiing. Icy/fast in the morning before softening and slowing late morning/early afternoon. Best time to ski generally 11am-1pm but today was earlier due to warmer than expected temperatures. Tomorrow looks to be a little bit cooler but still above freezing during the day.
Today we groomed on Sap Run, Sukkerbusk and Skaters Waltz. Wednesday we will plan the same and also groom Twin Lakes. Monday morning grooming on Sap Run, Sukkerbusk, Bullhead Lake trail and Twin Lakes.
Although we have a good base of snow, the present of dirt in the snowpack facilitating the melting. As long as we keep freezing down at nights should have skiing available this week.
Due to deteriorating snow conditions, in particular the lake segments, the Lotvola Cup has been canceled for this year. We didn’t anticipate this stretch of warm weather. We were really looking forward to having the race back. We will plan a date for 2026 in the Fall. Thanks everyone for the interest and support!
