Ski Trail Report

Trails are open. We’ve transitioned to spring like skiing. Icy/fast in the morning before softening and slowing late morning/early afternoon. Best time to ski generally 10am-1pm. Despite the snow loss this week, we are still skiing with folks on the trails and we are grooming select trails. Best skiing for classic is on Sap Run, Sukkerbusk, Twin Lakes and North Loup. Skate skiing on Skaters Waltz. Other trails have thin spots in the open areas and the lake portion of Bullhead Lake should be avoided due to standing water. Loon Return should also be avoided. Otherwise, use a little extra caution and trails are very skiable.

We’ve transitioned to spring like skiing. Icy/fast in the morning before softening and slowing late morning/early afternoon. Best time to ski generally 11am-1pm but Tuesday was earlier due to warmer than expected temperatures.

Today we groomed Sap Run, Sukkerbusk, Twin Lakes and Skaters Waltz in the morning and back out in the evening again setting a new track on Sap Run, Sukkerbusk and Twin Lakes. Monday and Tuesday morning grooming on Skaters Waltz, Sap Run, Sukkerbusk, Bullhead Lake trail and Twin Lakes. We are focusing on these trails this week and if conditions are right, will groom a few more trails Friday.

Although we have a good base of snow, the present of dirt in the snowpack facilitating the melting. However, as long as we keep freezing down at nights should have skiing available this week.

Due to deteriorating snow conditions, in particular the lake segments, the Lotvola Cup has been canceled for this year. We didn’t anticipate this stretch of warm weather. We were really looking forward to having the race back. We will plan a date for 2026 in the Fall. Thanks everyone for the interest and support!
